Madesimo and Campodolcino have unveiled 18 points from which it will be able

to take advantage of some truly memorable photo opportunities. Magical spots from which to discover some of the most enchanting corners in Valle Spluga, a case of marveling at them and then taking a photographic souvenir with a frame already incorporated into the shot. It’s an initiative which has proved particularly popular with visitors in recent weeks, the brainchild of Giovanna Mosca, orchestrated by the local Municipality, and which has received an impressive vote of public confidence, especially through social networks.

The captivating choices of outlooks - 18 in number - scattered throughout the territory of Madesimo and Campodolcino - have been created through the adoption of small eco-friendly wooden windows which encourage the visitor to admire some particularly appreciated panoramic perspectives, like Pizzo Spadolazzo, the waterfalls of Groppera and Pianazzo, the dam at Montespluga, the delightful little church of Portarezza, legendary Roman bridge, and Mottala’s atmospheric lake. The frames are accompanied by explanatory boards in both italian and english. Hence in addition to taking in the magnificent landscapes it’s also possible to appreciate just what is in the eye of the beholder! A simple but clearly engaging initiative, perfectly assimilated within the surrounding countryside.
